The New Economy By Dave Cowan

We live in a world of cycles. Sunspots, seasons, life stages, cosmic alignments…the list goes on. Is it any wonder then, that economic systems should also be subject to changes…ups and downs, as it were. Cyclic changes are the basis of speculation and the current dysfunctional economic system…’good’ as long as growth and profit results; ‘bad’ when they don’t. But something else is going on here. As we have become a Global Society, interfaced through telecommunications and Global financial bodies,  we are now poised on the precipice of an unprecedented scale of change…one that will effect every seven-plus billion of us.

To appreciate the potential of a New Economy, we must look closely at the Old, and why it must fail before something totally New can arise. If we take a non-dual metaphysical viewpoint, it is easier to appreciate the inherent weakness of the current economy…an unconscious ‘death wish’ is not too inaccurate here.  This viewpoint  regards the world ‘out there’ as merely a projection, or inner perception, of the Mind that imagined it. Together, we have imagined and accepted some dysfunctional assumptions, primarily the belief in lack. This is an ego-based idea that Nature, or God, has limited resources. Therefore, your gain would imply my lack. And my gain, although implying your lack, is perfectly justifiable in light of my survival. Can you see how constricted and fear-based is this idea? Yet it is at the root of the Global Economy. The state of the world caused by this belief ‘proves’ a world of lack. Do we not have starving masses alongside conspicuous over-consumption? This is the circular reasoning that serves to perpetuate a model of the world based on struggle, conflict and suffering. On a social level, this sick illusion has manifested as a small group of the hyper-wealthy bent on the suppression and control of a world of wage slaves. This group flourishes in a state of ‘endless war’, pitting one group against another and keeping alive the illusion of separate interests and…a world of lack. The good news is…we are nearing the end of this charade.

The demise of these old thoughts and beliefs and the systems they have spawned is being driven by another set of cycles. These are cosmological cycles which many ancient cultures and some modern astronomers are aware of. Without going into too much detail here, multiple cycles are converging on the planet at this time with the cumulative effect of raising the frequency, or rate of vibration, of all matter and energy in our Solar System and related space community. This shift has been gradually affecting Earth and Humanity since the 1500’s, and is exponentially accelerating now.

We could look at the physiological roots of the dysfunctional economy as coming from fear-based survival reflexes, which are individually housed in the central area of the brain know as the ‘Lizard Brain’.  The thoughts and emotions stemming from these structures are at a lower frequency and efficacy than the higher thoughts and emotions generated by the Mammalian and distinctly Human structures which overlay them.  As the frequency of matter and energy in the environment rises, holding onto these lower energies becomes more and more difficult, and eventually, soon, impossible. When we lived in small, isolated groups of hunter-gatherers, we could, in a sense, ‘afford’ to live by these lower instincts. If things got weird with the neighbors, we simply moved on! Now, however, the interconnectedness of the world demands a higher level of civility. Eventually, the old ‘warrior’ programs will be written in history books as an embarrassing hiccup in the human saga. Today, however, we are witnessing the demise of the old paradigm as it writhes and convulses in it’s death throes.

What all this implies is that things will very likely get a lot worse before the New Paradigm can manifest. On a personal level, we can navigate the changes best by recognizing our own fears as they arise. Recognize them as based on a foundation of false beliefs and assumptions. Recognize these as not just your fears, but a collective fear that has been purposely programmed into you education, media, literature and sciences. We are being called to shed these beliefs together, as ‘together’ is much more descriptive of who we are; of who we are awakening to. Along with these changes, a New Identity is being born of Humanity as One…One Being from One Source with One Purpose.  Get used to the idea that ‘You are not who you think you are’ and ‘the past is not what it used to be’. Look closely at what you truly value, as the degree of attachment to what you value in the world will determine the degree of pain and distress you will call upon yourself as the wall of lies crumbles around you.

Do you value money above relationships? Do you value position and image above true perception of yourself as one among equals? Do you value conflict and ‘being right’ over peace and forgiveness? Then you have signed up for a rough ride. You will make it through, as there is no death. How long and how deeply you want to suffer is under your control, however. Your desire for something deeper, some ‘better way’ of seeing is all that is needed to begin to draw to yourself opportunities to embrace the New Paradigm.

However things unfold for you in the next few months and years, learn some way of releasing your fears. For some this may be physical exercise, dancing or some creative outlet. Shift the concern from ‘your problems’ to ‘our problem’ and realize we are all in this together. Do something for someone else without hope of reward, and you’ll be amazed at how your problems shrink in your view.

I had a dream once that I was crossing a raging river on a weak bridge of sticks. As I got to the center, the bridge disintegrated, and I was washed downstream. My panic was interrupted with a very clear message; “Let go and let the river take you where it will. If you struggle, you will perish”.

 I suggest you take some time to identify what it is you truly value…and begin to extend energy in these directions. These are the things you will bring with you through the ‘storm’. These are the things that make you truly wealthy. And when you know your own true Worth and Value as a ‘spark of the Divine’ you become a treasure to all of us!
